Introduction of the basic principles of biology, covering the cells, organisms, and genetics. Covers the cell surface, the role of plastids and mitochondria in energetics, and the role of nucleus in cell division and regulation. Cell chemistry, concepts of molecular biology receive special attention. Three hours and lecture and three hours of laboratory per week.
