    Description

    Prerequisites; Concurrent enrollment or successful completion of ENGL 1301-1302 and MATH 1340 or a satisfactory SAT or Accuplacer score. An
    introduction to chemical principles that emphasizes atomic and molecular structure. Topics include the principles states of matter, stoichimetry, thermochemistry, bonding, atomic structure, quantum mechanics, kinetics, chemical equilibrium, oxidation-reduction, electrochemistry, the chemistry of the representative and transition elements, and organic chemistry. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory week.
