    Description

    This course will give attention to: theories or learning, motivation, group dynamics, and individual differences. In addtion, students will learn the stages of human growth and developmen and the nature of human learning as it applies to teaching. Emphasis will be placed on the application of psychological theory in classroom ineractions. In addition, instruction will emphasize strategies for meeting the biological, psychological, cognitive, and social needs of culturally diverse students in the early childhood and elementary classroom.

    Students should make application to the Teacher Education Program while enrolled in this course. Most General Education requirements must be completed prior to enrollment and all portions of the THEA mus be passed by the end of the course in order to meet the requirements for admission to the Teacher Education Program:
