Description

This course provides intensive preparation for the Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (TExES), including both the Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) and subject-area exams. Instruction focuses on effective test-taking strategies, content review, structured practice, and familiarity with test format and procedures. Candidates will engage in diagnostic assessments, targeted skill-building, and full-length practice exams. Students must successfully complete a TExES practice exam as the final assessment in order to pass the course. Guidance on exam registration, timelines, and certification requirements is included. Successful completion of this course is required for all education majors prior to approval for student teaching and official registration for the state certification exams.
