This course is designed as a natural continuation of ESL-1 expanding the components of multi-cultural discussions, vocabulary, readings, writing, grammar, idioms, and pronunciation to a progressive higher level. It is expected that certain students may be able to enter DEEF G402 without completing DEEF 0401-1. If they show competencies comparable to those students completing that course. Completers of ESL-11 are expected to qualify for entrance into regular English courses as indicated by their performance in Accuplacer or equivalent examination of English language proficiency.
