MUSI 2102 Applied Instrument IV (Piano)
 
Continuation of Music 2101; Hanon; the easier composition of Bach; Clementi or Kuhnau sonatinas; accompaniments, pieces of average difficulty, sight reading (6 hours of practice weekly.) 
 

This course provides specific lessons on instructional techniques and various level performance of piano. Survey of all scales and chords; Czerny and Hanon studies; Bach, Two and Three-part Inventions, Preludes and Fugues from Well-Tempered Clavier Book, etc.; Mozart or Beethoven Sonatas; Representative piano literature ranging from the Baroque to the contemporary era will be emphasized.
